How to Do a Keratin Treatment at Home

Equipment Required

Step 1 – Purify

Wash your hair twice with PURE KERATIN Purifying Shampoo (included) to remove buildup and prepare your hair for treatment.

Step 2 – Dry

Blow-dry your hair completely before application. The hair must be 100% dry.

Step 3 – Apply the Treatment

Divide your hair into four sections. Wearing gloves, apply 2–3 fl. oz. of PURE KERATIN Professional Treatment evenly to each section, from root to tip. Use a large-tooth comb for even distribution.

Step 4 – Process

Cover your head with a plastic cap and let the treatment sit:

• Fine or blonde hair: 20 minutes
• Thick, coarse, or curly hair: 30 minutes

Comb through every 10 minutes for consistent coverage.

Step 5 – Seal

Blow-dry 100%, then flat iron in ½-inch sections, passing 7–10 times per section to seal the keratin:

• Fine hair: 300–400°F
• Thicker hair: 400–450°F
